Addressing Issues of Trauma…

What is Hip Hop Heals?

Hip Hop Heals uses all of the Hip Hop forms to address issues of trauma, including multi-generational trauma, community trauma and personal trauma that has suffered by African Americans in their daily life.

Hip Hop Console

The Hip Hop Console is a comprehensive program for youth ages 12 to 24. The program teaches organic Hip-Hop culture as a means of coping with the socio-economic and life challenges of under served African and Latin youth. The skills are taught using Audio/Video, digital technologies, and social media platforms. The program consists of 10 interactive workshops and a culmination activity. Upon completion of the program, each youth will have a full understanding of Hip-Hop, and will have developed skillsets that help them to cope with depression, poverty; and other socio-economic and mental health challenges.
