Project Coordinator and Case Manager: T.R.I.B.E. Probation Project
Monica is a case manager/personal development coach who focuses on the TRIBE Probation Project. She has previously worked as a case manager for several community organizations including KUSH Reaching Out, Faithful Service Baptist Church Women and Children Homeless Shelter, and has been a Program Director for Rising Stars Child Development Center, and Supervisor at Drew Child Development Corp for over 22 years, supervising 10 staff members, authorizing and recertifying cases for Cal Works Program. She was also an instructor with Road to Independence providing re=entry services to clients ages 14-29. She is responsible for case management of homeless, probation, parole and other individuals with barriers for employment services. She arranges for and registers individuals with AJCC in INVEST and other WIOA programs, assists individuals in barrier mitigation, arranging for housing, resolving legal issues, and insuring access to mental and physical health services, as well as drug and alcohol counseling; assists AJCC Case Managers with supportive services, and arrange for financial disbursement assistance through AJCC; identifies training programs, employers, and financing of training programs for probation, parole, homeless, and other disadvantaged individuals, enrolls individuals in mental health, entrepreneurship, job readiness, interviewing and other workshops, and insure individuals are registered in a training program in their career interest; and provides follow-up employment services for job retention.
